Full-time study: Apply now

APPLICATION PROCESS EXPLAINED

Pearson College recognises that there are many people with the potential to succeed on one of our courses who haven't reached the tariff advertised. We welcome applications from those people, who will be assessed on their individual merits at our interview and assessment day.

If you are looking to apply to begin your studies in September 2013 you will need to submit your application via UCAS Extra, or as a late application

This is our application process for full-time EU and UK students applying to start in September 2014:

Stage 1 – Apply via UCAS

All applications for full-time higher education courses at UK universities and colleges are made through UCAS. It costs £12 for a single choice and £23 for more than one choice, and you can make your application online. UCAS has helpful advice on its  where to start pages.

Stage 2 – Considering your Application

We will consider your application and review your academic grades (both already achieved and predicted). If you meet the entrance tariff of 320 UCAS tariff points you will be invited to attend an interview to assess your potential.

Alternatively, if you do not meet the entrance tariff you can still apply, by making an appointment to attend an Assessment Day.

We welcome applications from students with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we particularly encourage working students.

Stage 3 – Assessment Day

At the assessment day we will interview you to assess your potential to succeed on the course, taking into account your attitude and motivation as well as your academic potential and experience. We will also ask you to sit an entrance test. This test will assess whether you possess the core skills necessary to study on the programme. The Assessment Day is similar in type and purpose to that used by employers in their recruitment processes. This helps introduce you to the culture of the working world right from the start.

Stage 4 – Offers

Offers are made via UCAS in the usual way, but we will also write to you. Many offers are conditional on you achieving specific grades where relevant. We will make it clear what these are.

If you have any queries relating to admissions please don't hesitate to contact us on 0203 441 1303. Alternatively you can contact UCAS via their website or the UCAS Customer Service Unit on +44 (0)871 468 0468, Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 6pm. You can also visit UCAS.TV which has useful videos to support the application process, from registering to applying through to writing a personal statement.

We currently cannot accept applications from overseas students. Please contact us if you have any queries.
